#AndNEW: Natsumi Maki Wins International Princess Championship

Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling (TJPW) has itself a new title the International Princess Championship and at their latest visit to Korakuen Hall for the TJP Brand New Wrestling 3 Stronger Than Anyone! show.  TJPW roster member Natsumi Maki faced Giselle Shaw, who was chosen as the international representative, in a match to crown the first-ever International Princess Champion.

Natsumi Maki emerged victorious to claim the first championship of her four-year career.  Maki was at the centre of some controversy at the tail end of 2018 when she made the jump from her former home promotion Actwres girl’Z to TJPW which has strained the relationship between the two promotions.  This is despite the fact that Maki appeared to be on her way out of AgZ anyway when she made her way to TJPW.

While the Princess Of Princesses championships remains the top title in TJPW the International Princess championship seems designed to allow the holder freedom to represent TJPW all over the world as champion and will provide a secondary championship for the promotion’s midcard to chase.
