September Class ’19: A Look at the Newest WWE PC Recruits (VIDEOS)

WWE PC

WWE officially unveiled the September class of new recruits reporting to the WWE Performance Center (WWE PC) a little early on Wednesday, showcasing nine new future WWE Superstars. Headlined by indie superstars Austin Theory and Santana Garrett, it features some prospects as well. Noticeably absent is former AAA and Lucha Underground star El Hijo del Fantasma, but the former King Cuerno has indeed arrived. Speculation is he may make his debut at the upcoming NXT tapings and will debut as a surprise.

Austin Theory has been on WWE’s radar for some time now and the reigning EVOLVE Champion was seen sitting ringside during this past week’s NXT TakeOver: Toronto II. Only a three-year pro, Theory was trained by AR Fox and debuted out of the World Wrestling Alliance 4 (WWA4) wrestling school in Atlanta, Georgia. In his second year, he joined the WWN family, working with EVOLVE and Full Impact Pro, where he won the FIP World Heavyweight Championship.

Santana Garrett has been one of the top women’s wrestlers for the past decade, working with everyone from IMPACT Wrestling, Shine Wrestling, SHIMMER, Major League Wrestling (MLW) and Ring of Honor in the US to Stardom in Japan to AAA and The Crash Lucha in Mexico. She was most recently a part of Women of Wrestling (WOW), where she held the WOW Championship for 742-days.

According to WWE’s press release on Wednesday, “U.S. Army veteran and former Division I football player Tehuti Miles attended WWE tryouts in 2017 and 2018. The 210-pounder from Silver Spring, Md., played multiple positions for the University of Maryland Terrapins after serving in the military, which included a tour of duty in Afghanistan.” He’s been working as an indie wrestler for the past year, working out of MCW Pro (formerly Maryland Championship Wrestling), as well as appearing for ROH’s Future of Honor.

At 6’5″ and 230 lbs., Germany’s LX Ken is a huge specimen. Originally trained by former WWE Superstar Santino Marella at BattleArts Academy in Canada, he’s spent the past few years wrestling in Germany, where he furthered his training with former WCW Superstar Alex Wright.

A former pro football player with Arena and Canadian Football League, EJ Nduka left football to compete in body-building. A former defensive end and linebacker, he stands 6’6″ and weighs 275 lbs., combining raw power and speed.

Briana Brandy

An odd choice for a WWE Superstar, but Briana Brandy comes from the world of hip-hop where she’s already an established artist who has toured with the likes of Soulja Boy and Jadakiss. But don’t think that’s made her soft – she’s an extreme CrossFit athlete, boxing trainer, and has apparently also trained in ninjutsu.
