#AndNEW: Melbourne City Wrestling Tag Team Champions

Last night at Tensions Rising Melbourne City Wrestling (MCW) crowned new Tag Team Champions.

The MCW Tag Team Championships were defended by the reigning champions The Brat Pack (Mitch Waterman and Nick Bury) against the returning Natural Classics (Tome & Stevie Filip). The Natural Classics have been absent from MCW for a number of months whilst they spent time training in New Zealand at the New Japan Pro Wrestling affiliated Fale Dojo.

Upon their return, the crowd was very much behind the Natural Classics from the outset. For much of the match, The Brat Pack focused their attack on Stevie Filip, with a number of near falls. Stevie Filip would attempt to make a comeback by using his trademark running crossbody from the entrance ramp, only to be met by a superkick to the face in midair. Ultimately the Natural Classics managed to isolate Nick Bury and pick up the victory, to an incredibly loud positive reaction from the fans in attendance.

Our live correspondent noted that the Filips were greatly improved, in regards to the overall polish and intensity in their performance, thanks to their time at the Fale Dojo.

This championship change sees The Brat Pack’s third reign as MCW Tag Team Champions come to an end and begs the questions, where do they go to from here?
