KENTA (FKA Hideo Itami) Joins NJPW

KENTA

New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Dominion show has already been a newsworthy event as Shingo Takagi declared himself for the G1 Climax after defeating a heavyweight in an upset and titles have changed hands.  The latest piece of news involves the debut for former WWE and Pro Wrestling NOAH star KENTA.

Katsuyori Shibata made his way to the ring to introduce a new star which ended up being KENTA who is making his first televised appearance since leaving the WWE recently.  It was then announced that KENTA would be entering the famed G1 Climax.

KENTA only wrestled one time in an NJPW ring staying loyal to Pro Wrestling NOAH until he joined the WWE where he would have an uninspiring run in both NXT and 205 Live as injuries and toning down his style prevented him from being the big star many hoped.  The former GHC Heavyweight Champion, three-time GHC Junior Heavyweight Champion, three-time GHC Junior heavyweight tag team champion and GHC Heavyweight tag team champion has now made the jump to the biggest and hottest company in Japan.
