Best Of The Super Juniors Blocks Announced by NJPW

Super Juniors Blocks

A Block

A Block immediately jumps out as the more stacked of the two blocks.  Current IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion Dragon Lee headlines alongside former champion Taiji Ishimori as well as the debuting Jonathan Gresham.  Shingo Takagi is currently unpinned and unsubmitted in New Japan going into this tournament so it will be interesting to see how they book him.  Guys like Sho and Titan should provide fun matches in the middle of the card and whenever they need to step up to main event while Taka MichinokuTiger Mask, and Yoshinobu Kanemaru are likely to play grumpy old veterans.

Matches To Look Out For:

Shingo Takagi vs Sho 5/13

Dragon Lee vs Taiji Ishimori 5/13

Shingo Takagi vs Dragon Lee 5/23

Dragon Lee vs Titan 5/24

Jonathan Gresham vs Shingo Takagi 5/29

Jonathan Gresham vs Sho 5/31

Shingo Takagi vs Taiji Ishimori 5/31

At first glance, this block is relying on Will Ospreay but a block like this should allow guys like Robbie EaglesEl Phantasmo and Bandido to really shine.  There are also very solid veterans like El Desperado and BUSHI to anchor down a card if needs be.  Ryusuke Taguchi if he wants to can be great but will provide comedy relief on undercards too.

Matches To Look Out For

Will Ospreay vs Robbie Eagles 5/26

Will Ospreay vs Bandido 5/23

Rocky Romero vs Yoh 5/22

El Phantasmo vs Bandido 5/14

Bandido vs Flip Gordon 5/22

Robbie Eagles vs Bandido 5/30
