On an action-packed day 2 of 16 Carat Gold wXw Shotgun Champion Marius Al-Ani had an open challenge issued for his title. To the shock of the fans in attendance the challenge was answered by Sanity member and Westside Xtreme Wrestling (wXw) alumni Alexander Wolfe.

Al-Ani would go on to defeat Wolfe and retain his title but this served as a reminder of the relationship between wXw and the WWE. Wolfe, who is a former Shotgun and wXw Unified World Wrestling champion, got to return home once again as he previously made a similar surprise return.
