This weekend a swath of international wrestling stars descend upon Australia to mix it up with the best our country has to offer. One of the major highlights of this World Series Wrestling (WSW) will be the crowning of the first ever WSW Women’s Champion through a tournament format.
The tour kicks off on Thursday in Adelaide, so let’s take a look at the action fans in South Australia can look forward to.
Abyss & Zak Sabbath vs Gods & Monsters (Mat Basso & Big Brodie Marshall)
Adelaide will be rated to a tag team battle of the behemoths when the Riot City Wrestling (RCW) tag team Gods & Monsters take on the team of Zak Sabbath and ‘The Monster’ Abyss.
Expect this one to be incredibly impactful and not for the weak of heart as these giants look to destroy anything and anyone that gets in their way.
Joey Ryan vs Gabriel Aeros
This matchup will see the ‘King of Dong Style’ squaring off against the ‘King of Hard Style’.
As a member of the famed Parea group, Gabriel Aeros is becoming one of the countries hottest young prospects.
Will the hungry young talent be able to overcome the mind games and tactic of the wily veteran or will he succumb to the might of the dong like many before him?
WSW Tag Team Title Match: Villain Enterprises (Marty Scurll & Brodie King) (c) vs Bandido & Flamita
The dastardly WSW Tag Team Champions Villain Enterprises will defend their titles on the very first stop of the tour when they take on the team of Bandido and Flamita.
The luchador team of Bandido and Flamita could very well be two of the hottest global talents at the moment, and Adelaide is certainly in for a treat when they witness the fluidity and teamwork of this duo.
Last tour Villain Enterprises were dominant upon their debut as a tag team unit, with teams now able to prepare for them though will they remain champions?
WSW Women’s Championship Tournament Semi-Final: Savannah Summers vs Jordynne Grace
The WSW Women’s Championship Tournament begins when international megastar Jordynne Grace battles the Australian women’s veteran and star Savannah Summers.
Summers is one of the countries top performers, regardless of gender, and will certainly give Grace a run for her money. If Grace is suffering from any jet lag or dares to look past Summers she could very easily suffer a shock first round defeat.
Robbie Eagles & The Flipping Machines (Flip Gordon & Brian Cage) vs Socal Uncensored (Christopher Daniels, Scorpio Sky & Frankie Kazarian)
On night one of the tour, the newly minted WSW World Champion and Bullet Club member Robbie Eagles will join forces with two men who are set to challenge him for the title later in the tour. The team of Eagles and The Flipping Machines will stand across from All Elite Wrestling’s SCU, which also features a man gunning for Eagles’ championship later in the tour.
The interesting combination of high-flying from Eagles and Gordon with the power of Cage against the incredible chemistry of SCU is certainly an exciting prospect for fans in Adelaide.
