On Friday’s episode of IMPACT Wrestling, simulcast on The Pursuit Channel and Twitch.TV, we saw an incredible opener with the X-Division Champion, Rich Swann taking on El Hijo Del Vikingo. While Swann took the victory, it was Vikingo’s performance that immediately caught the attention of the IMPACT Nation. This was a match that was reminiscent of the WCW Cruiserweight division from the Monday Night Wars. A division with prestige and unlimited talent, Vikingo’s performance was Mysterio-esque.

Emmanuel Roman Morales was born on April 29th, 1997 in Heroica Puebla de Zaragoza, Puebla, Mexiko. A second generation Luchador as his father King Vikingo also wrestled, Hijo Del Vikingo began wrestling in 2012 and had his first match at Promociones Joker in 2014. On April 12th, 2017, Hijo Del Vikingo made his AAA Lucha Libre debut in a trios match that saw him team with Concord and Octagoncito defeating the team of Guerrero De Plata, Mini Abismo Negro, and Bronco Gonzalez.
Later in the year, Hijo Del Vikingo would make his AAA Triplemania debut for the 25th Anniversary of the company’s biggest event of the year. Hijo Del Vikingo would team with Angelikal and The Tigger, defeating the team of Angel Mortal Jr., Tiger Boy, and Villano Jr. in the finals of La LLave A La Gloria, which is considered to be a talent search contest looking for the next star. The legendary Vampiro who served as the Director Of Talent for AAA offered all finalists contracts.
Since then Vikingo has been on a rocket to success as he currently holds the AAA Trios Championship alongside his partners, Laredo Kid and Myzteziz Jr. and are close to two months in their title reign. Tonight was just the beginning for El Hijo Del Vikingo as many would say he is not any where near the prime of his career. The legendary Konnan has made several mentions of him on his podcast, Keepin’ It 100 With Konnan during his Mass Republic Minute segments and has praised the young and uber talented Luchador. During a commercial break on IMPACT Wrestlings Twitch.tv channel, Co-Executive Vice President, Don Callis was also impressed with Vikingo saying that he and company would be looking at signing Vikingo to a contract.
