At Saturday’s NXT UK TakeOver: Blackpool, NXT UK got their first “shown in seats new faces” that have become a tradition at the regular WWE Network, NXT’s TakeOver events, and it was two huge additions to the already impressive NXT UK women’s division. Following the Dave Mastiff vs. Eddie Dennis match, Scotland’s Kay Lee Ray and Germany’s “Alpha Female” Jazzy Gabert were shown ringside and announced as new members of the NXT UK brand.

Kay Lee Ray was reportedly offered a deal this past week, and her appearance ringside confirms the news (which would offer more credence to the reports her best friend Viper is also NXT UK bound). The reigning 3x Insane Championship Wrestling (ICW) Women’s Champion appeared in the 2017 Mae Young Classic and has worked NXT in an enhancement role prior.
It was a pleasant surprise to see Jazzy Gabert in the NXT UK arena and at ringside. The German veteran was one of the undeniable stars of the 2017 Mae Young Classic and she ended up working NXT shortly after. But prior to being offered a contract, an injury was discovered that shelved Gabert for many months. She spent last year getting back into her groove in Westside Xtreme Wrestling (wXw), Pro Wrestling EVE and PROGRESS.
