This past weekend, the indie scene lost another of its top stars, when indie supervillain Maxwell Jacob Friedman (also known simply as MJF) announced he had suffered an injury this past weekend and would be out for the next month or so.
I’ve fractured my elbow.
Recovery time 4-6 weeks.
The good news is I get a break from having to make eye contact with you poor fat slobs.

MJF Stripped of CZW World Championship
MJF was 220 days into his reign as the Combat Zone Wrestling (CZW) World Heavyweight Champion, defeating Rickey Shane Page at CZW Best in the Best 17 this past April for the title. MJF is also the current reigning Major League Wrestling (MLW) Middleweight Champion and the Inspire Pro Heritage Champion. CZW was the first to declare that due to the injury, MJF was being stripped of his CZW World title, and that his scheduled opponent for his next title defense on December 9 at CZW Cage of Death XX, the man who MJF defeated for the belt in April, Rickey Shane Page, would still compete for the now vacant title, in a battle against rising star Mance Warner.

While MLW has not stripped MJF of his MLW Middleweight Championship as of yet, he is scheduled to compete in a ladder match for his title on Friday December 14th in Miami at MLW Zero Hour against Kotto Brazil, Jason Cade and the debuting Dezmond Xavierand Andrew Everett. MLW stated on their website that if MJF “is not cleared day of show, the belt will be declared vacant and decided that night in a ladder match featuring the 4 challengers.”
