NXT duo Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford) competed against Doom Patrol (Chris Dickinson & Jaka) at EVOLVE 114 for their EVOLVE Tag Team Championships. Much to the shock of the crowd in attendance and everyone keeping up with the show at home, the Street Prophets won the tag team championships. It was recently announced that EVOLVE would be allowed to air matches involving NXT talent whereas previously they acted as dark matches for the live crowd only.

The Profits were not the only NXT talents to show up at EVOLVE as Fabian Aichner challenged EVOLVE champion Shane Strickland, Dan Matha showed up and Adrian Jaoude defeated Joe Gacy. Is the Profits victory a precursor of a new EVOLVE? Whether that is the case or not, the Street Profits are your new EVOLVE tag team champions in a shocking turn of events as the wrestling landscape continues to get weirder and weirder.
