Report: Punishment Martinez Leaves ROH and Signs With WWE

Mike Johnson of PWInsider has confirmed with sources within WWE that former Ring of Honor World Television Champion Punishment Martinez, who recently left ROH after losing his title to Jeff Cobb, has signed with the WWE and will be reporting to the WWE Performance Center later this month. Martinez is expected to debut with the NXT brand shortly after.

Punishment Martinez Signs With WWE

The 6’7″ Puerto Rican wrestler has been wrestling in the US for six years, having started out with the Monster Factory in New Jersey, before signing with ROH in 2015. It appears as WWE no longer announces signings of NXT or PC talent, as recent signees like Mia Yim and Chelsea Green have also not had formal announcements, despite starting at the PC or on NXT Live Events (in Yim’s case).
