Beyond Wrestling has been one of the top indie promotions in the United States and one of the early soldiers in the indie revolution that’s lead to the indie boom at present. Founded in 2009 by Drew Cordeiro, the Bridgewater, Massachusetts promotion has one of the largest YouTube wrestling channels with nearly 1 million subscribers, with lots of full free matches of many stars now in the WWE, NJPW or IMPACT, and they continue to release events on-demand. This Sunday, they have one of the coolest concepts for any event, for Please Come Back, where Beyond Wrestling regulars have a match of their choice opponent, but under one condition. They have to hand pick someone who has never wrestled for Beyond before. It’s made for some interesting and unique match-ups. Please Come Back airs live on Powerbomb.tv this Sunday at 6pm EST.
Josh Briggs vs. Curt Stallion
A veteran of 18 matches with Beyond Wrestling in the past two years, heavy hittin’ hoss Josh Briggs has had some battles there with the likes of WALTER, Brody King, Matt Riddle, and Keith Lee. His Beyond “rookie” is a Texas wrestler whose really starting to break out of the Southern wrestling circuit, Curt Stallion. A long time regular with Anarchy Wrestling out of Texas, the 5-year pro is blowing up in the past few years working with All American Wrestling (AAW), Glory Pro (where he’s the reigning Crown of Glory Champion), Southern Underground Pro (SUP) and Game Changer Wrestling (GCW).
Orange Cassidy vs. Marko Stunt
The lethargic lothario and comedic wrestler Orange Cassidy is a four year veteran of Beyond Wrestling, with 23 matches under his belt in Beyond. Many were as part of The Gentlemen’s Club with Chuck Taylor, but he’s also had singles matches with Swoggle and John Silver, a feud with Dick Justice and tagged with Martina The Session Moth. For his opponent, he’s chosen to bring in indie wunderkid “Mr. Funsize” Marko Stunt. The indies hottest viral sensation makes his Beyond debut in what should be a fun match.
Wheeler YUTA vs. Jaxon Stone
One of the emerging indie stars of the past year, YUTA has wrestled in 20 matches in just over his first year with Beyond, becoming quite the regular. He’s had big wins over the likes of Matt Riddle, Jonathan Gresham and Flip Gordon and he’s only getting better. He also competes in CHIKARA as Sylverhawk of Xyberhawx2000. For his opponent, he’s bringing in another Southern hoss who’s breaking out of nationally, Jaxon Stone. Starting off in Texas indie Metroplex, he’s now working with NOVA Pro, Combat Zone Wrestling (CZW), IWA Mid South, America’s Most Liked (AML) Wrestling, Limitless and more.
LuFisto vs. Trixie Tash
In her first match with Beyond back in 2016, LuFisto beat a 20-year old named Jordynne Grace. Now the two are one of Beyond’s most dominant tag teams, Team PAWG. Since then, LuFisto has fought in Beyond for 19 more matches, including wins over AR Fox, Viper, Deonna Purrazzo, and Kimber Lee. She’s facing a new face on the indie scene in Trixie Tash from Atomic Championship Wrestling (ACW) and a former Rogue Women Warriors (RWW, ACW’s women’s brand) Champion. She’s also one of LuFisto’s trainees. The Master vs. the Student, in what will be a special moment for both women.
“Hot Sauce” Tracy Williams vs. Travis Huckabee
“Hot Sauce” Tracy Williams has been wrestling with Beyond since 2014, debuting at Beyond’s Secret Show in August against John Silver. Since then, he’s wrestled 40 matches for Beyond, including representing Beyond at a co-promoted event in the UK with Preston City Wrestling (PCW), CZW and Germany’s Westside Xtreme Wrestling (wXw). The current reigning Powerbomb.tv Independent Champion will be facing off against former CHIKARA Campenatos de Parajas Champion Travis Huckabee. As a rookie, he paired with Solo Darling in the Rumblebees, but this year he turned to the dark side.
John Silver vs. Kris Stadtlander
John Silver made his Beyond debut back in 2013 with the Tournament for Tomorrow II, and has worked with them for 57 matches. Over the years he’s faced names like Timothy Thatcher, Lio Rush, Keith Lee, Chris Hero, Sami Callihan, Jordynne Grace and many more as one of Beyond’s most dependable performers. He’ll be facing a young prospect ready to explode in Kris Stadtlander, the first women’s graduate from Curt Hawkins & Pat Buck‘s Create-A-Pro Wrestling School. She’s wrestled for CZW, Women’s Wrestling Revolution (WWR), and Wrestle Pro, and recently made her Ring of Honor debut at August’s TV tapings.
Doom Patrol (Chris Dickinson & Jaka) vs. Teddy Goodz & “The Devil’s Reject” Brandon Webb
Doom Patrol has a lot of history in Beyond, both of whom have been with Beyond since their first year. Jaka debuted as Jonny Mangue in their first year, until he worked with CHIKARA for a few years as Jaka. In total, Jaka has had 110 matches with Beyond. Dickinson had 98 matches in his nine years, most with Jaka in Doom Patrol, and together as part of the Team Pazuzu stable alongside EYFO (LAX). They’re facing 36-year old Massachusetts indie veteran Teddy Goodz, whose spent a lot of his career with Top Rope Promotions (TRP), and the last few with Pioneer Valley Promotions (PVP). This past year, he’s also made his debuts with House of Hardcore and Wrestling Has A Tomorrow (WHAT). Goodz is partnered with 18-year veteran Brandon Webb, “The Devil’s Reject”, who is also a long time veteran of TRP and Northeast Championship Wrestling (NCW).
EYFO vs. Project Generation (Evander James & Mantequilla) vs. Zoltan (Kris Kage & Whiplash) vs. The Amazing Graysons (JP & Tommy Grayson)
A four way tag team match featuring one of the hottest tag teams in the world right now, EYFBO (Entertain Your F**king Balls Off) – better known to most as current IMPACT Wrestling Tag Team Champions LAX (Ortiz & Santana). As EYFBO, they’ve wrestled with Beyond since 2013, in 71 matches against the likes of American Wolves (Davey Richards & Eddie Edwards), Lucha Brothers (Pentagon Jr. & Rey Fenix), Ringkampf (WALTER & Timothy Thatcher) and Team PAWG. The reigning 3x IMPACT Tag champs, reigning 3x House of Glory (HOG) Tag champs and WrestlePro Tag champs will be facing three distinctly New York teams making their Beyond debuts. Project Generation features two New York indie wrestlers in HOG’s Evander James, who also works for Pennsylvania Premiere Wrestling (PPW), Superstars of Wrestling Federation (SWF) in New Jersey, and another HOG and SWF star in the mysterious Mantequilla. They don’t normally tag together, but it’s a unique duo showcasing two of HOG’s singles stars. Zoltan is a veteran tag team of the New York indie scene, Kris Kage and Whiplash, starting out in the early 2000s with Fighting Spirit Wrestling (FSW), 2KW Wrestling and now SWF. The Amazing Graysons are a young athletic tandem out of Northeast Wrestling (NEW), who also work with Chaotic Wrestling, Pro Wrestling Magic (PWM) and Rhode Island’s Xtreme Wrestling Alliance (XWA). Santana and Ortiz are showcasing New York indie tag teams, past, present and future, and with that kind of emotion running wild, this match should be electric.
