Second Female Ref Debuts For NXT, Gearl Hebner

Last year the WWE added their first female referee since the 1980’s saw Rita Chatterton wearing the zebra stripes, when Jessika Carr (former indie wrestler Kennadi Brink) donned the pinstripes to become a referee in last year’s Mae Young Classic. Since then, Carr has become a full time referee with NXT. At tonight’s NXT tapings, a new female referee was added to the fold, most likely to share ref duties with Carr at this summer’s Mae Young Classic II as well as join the NXT ref team. No word on her WWE name at this point, but according to several fans on Twitter and confirmed by Squared Circle Sirens, the new ref is indie ref Aubrey Edwards, who also goes by the name Gearl Hebner.
