#AndNEW: David Starr wins RevPro Undisputed British Cruiserweight Championship

Last night, David Starr shocked everybody in the York Hall in London when he ended Curtis Chapman 155-day reign as Undisputed British Cruiserweight champion. This marks another accolade to David Starr's amazing year.

Last night at Revolution Pro Wrestling‘s Epic Encounter, the man of many nicknames, David Starr defeated Kurtis Chapman to win the Undisputed British Cruiserweight championship. This marks an end of his epic chase for the title, that saw him lose on more than one occasion to Chapman and beat big independent names to earn shots.

Starr has been on a chase for the title since the star of 2018, defeating big names like “Speedball” Mike Bailey, NXT’s Danny Burch (Martin Stone) and Jody FleischRPW had their big show in the famous York Hall in London, were Starr, one of the busiest independent wrestlers in the world, shocking nearly everyone by ending 20-year-old Kurtis Chapman’s 155-day reign. This is Starr’s first championship in the United Kingdom and his third title in Europe – the other championships coming in Germany’s wXw.

For the young promising champion (Chapman), he fell in his sixth defence of the Undisputed British Cruiserweight championship. Chapman won the title from “Flash” Morgan Webster at the end of 2017, in a match were David Starr, former champion Ryan Smile and El Phantasmo were all involved. In his run, Chapman defeated names like Wild Boar, CCK‘s Chris Brookes, Ryan Smile, No Fun Dunne and on more than one occasion, the man that beat him yesterday for his Cruiserweight title.

David Starr continues to have an epic run in 2018. He won Combat Zone Wrestling‘s Best of the Best tournament against Zachary Wentz in April, debuted for Pro Wrestling Guerrilla against former Full Impact Pro Heavyweight champion Fred Yehi, got to the finals of wXw’s 16 Carat Gold tournament ultimately loosing against Absolute Andy and now holding the Undisputed Cruiserweight title from Rev Pro. Starr is scheduled to appear on May 13th for Rev Pro on their Live at the Cockpit 29 show. The matches have yet to be announced.
