AEW Redemption 2026 Preview and Predictions are here for July 26 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The event follows a skippable go-home show on July 22, where Kevin Knight successfully retained the TNT Championship against Darby Allin. Before that, the exhilarating July 15 episode saw Kevin Knight interrupt Kenny Omega’s championship celebration.
The prior week, during the special AEW Beach Break edition on July 8, Kenny Omega defeated MJF to win the AEW World Championship. And before that, the epic July 1 episode featured Hikaru Shida’s miraculous TBS Championship victory, following the historic AEW Forbidden Door 2026 pay-per-view.
On that PPV, Will Ospreay and Mercedes Moné became the 2026 Owen Hart Winners. This means that they both earned World Title opportunities at AEW All In on August 30, 2026. While they both await their world title matches, the champs have major roadblocks, especially on this AEW Redemption PPV.
Kenny Omega has a major roadblock with TNT Champion Kevin Knight before battling Will Ospreay at All In. And Thekla has a major roadblock with the real TBS Champion, Willow Nightingale, before battling Mercedes Moné at All In.
Without further ado, here is the AEW Redemption 2026 PPV Preview and Predictions for Sunday, July 26, 2026.
Will Ospreay & Jon Moxley vs. The Young Bucks
Kenny Omega warned his friend, Will Ospreay, that Death Riders are bad influences who do not have his best interests at heart. Will Ospreay will listen to Kenny Omega and stay away from Jon Moxley. Now that Ospreay used the Death Riders to earn his world title opportunity, he will leave Moxley high and dry in this match, allowing Bucks to get momentum for a tag title opportunity at All In.
Prediction: Young Bucks
Hikaru Shida (c) vs. Maya World – AEW TBS Title
Hikaru Shida just won the vacant TBS Title in a Survival of the Fittest Match after Willow Nightingale relinquished it due to injury. Although Maya World has been picking up ample babyface momentum after being the runner-up in the Owen Hart Tournament, AEW cannot overlook the marquee match that could take place between rivals, Hikaru Shida and Kris Statlander, for the TBS Title at All In.
Prediction: Hikaru Shida
Cope & Christian Cage (c) vs. Death Riders – AEW Tag Titles
Like Young Bucks, Cope and Christian will also defeat Death Riders (i.e. Claudio and PAC) to set up a marquee tag title match at All In. After Cope and Christian won tag gold from FTR, they have been teasing a showdown with the Bucks for months. Hopefully, New Day shows up to spice things up soon too, as they have been on podcasts with the Bucks and teasing negotiations since leaving WWE.
Prediction: Cope & Christian Cage
Bang Bang Gang vs. Dogs of War – Double Chain Tag Match
Jay White just returned to AEW recently, so there is no way he is losing on his first PPV match upon return. Dogs of War already accomplished their goal of becoming Trios Champions, so they are now just elevating other trios and tag teams on the roster with their gritty and gory wrestling styles. This victory should lead White towards future title opportunities, leaving him where he left off.
Prediction: Bang Bang Gang
Jungle Jack Perry vs. Speedball Mike Bailey vs. The Beast Mortos vs. Komander vs. Nick Wayne vs. El Clon – 6-Way Ladder Match For A Shot At The AEW International Title
Whoever wins this match will get a shot at Kyle Fletcher’s International Title. This means that a babyface who is feuding with the Do Callis Family will likely win this match. The ones who come to mind would be Jungle Jack Perry and Speedball Mike Bailey. Perry lost the National Title to Mark Davis and needs his revenge, but Bailey still has beef with Kevin Knight and could use a consolation prize.
Prediction: Speedball Mike Bailey
Kyle Fletcher (c) vs. Bandido – AEW International Title
When Kyle Fletcher dethroned Konosuke Takeshita at Beach Break so soon after Takeshita had dethroned Okada, many expected Fletcher to solidify his return with a victory and inevitably make Takeshita pay for leaving the Don Callis Family. But it was questionable that Takeshita’s title reign was transitional. AEW cannot follow up with another transitional reign for Fletcher.
Prediction: Kyle Fletcher
Mark Davis (c) vs. Andrade El Idolo – AEW National Title
Speaking of the Don Callis Family, Andrade El Idolo also betrayed the Don Callis Family, just like Konosuke Takeshita. However, he did it in a more memorable way by wearing a T-shirt that expressed just how he felt about Don Callis. He will definitely solidify his babyface turn by dethroning Don Callis Family’s Mark Davis for the National Title, winning his first championship in his AEW career.
Prediction: Andrade El Ídolo
Chris Jericho vs. Tommaso Ciampa – No Holds Barred
Tommaso Ciampa already earned a victory over Chris Jericho at Beach Break, so Jericho will likely get his lick back now that he is unleashing his PainMaker gimmick in his home country of Canada. This feud does not have a compelling storyline, but they are definitely delivering in the ring. Putting these two in a No Holds Barred Match is not only exciting on paper but could also steal the show.
Prediction: Chris Jericho
Thekla (c) vs. Willow Nightingale – AEW Women’s World Title
Thekla’s title reign has run its course, and it seems that AEW is going to book the originally planned Owen Hart Winner as the new World Champion. Willow has more history with Mercedes Moné, especially after injuring her in NJPW and dethroning her for the TBS Title, so this is the marquee match for All In. Thekla already has a Stardom championship, so that she won’t be hurt in defeat here.
Prediction: Willow Nightingale
Kenny Omega (c) vs. Kevin Knight – AEW World Title
This main event is quite peculiar, as Kevin Knight is already the TNT Champion in the midcard and MJF should be in this spot battling Kenny Omega for the world title. AEW decided to book a title change for MJF and Omega on Beach Break to boost a rating and preserve MJF for All In instead of doing a title change at Redemption, where it would matter more for Canada’s Kenny Omega.
While it is a smart business decision, it hurt this PPV from a storyline standpoint. Although Knight was involved in the main event of AEW Double or Nothing where he turned heel and took Darby Allin out on a stretcher, he has no business being in an AEW World Title match this soon in his heel run. This is an underwhelming main event with a rub for a rising star and a predictable winner.
