Night of Champions is shaping up to be quite the show. Already set to feature the finals of the King of the Ring and Queen of the Ring tournaments on the 6/15 edition of Monday Night Raw, another huge showdown was added to the card.
Seth Rollins Challenges Bron Breakker to a Steel Cage Match at Night of Champions 2026
Seth Rollins appeared in a pre-recorded video where he pointed out that Bron Breakker has taken everything from him. He stole his opportunity to win King of the Ring and took six months of Rollins’ career he can never get back. And by injuring him, he cost Rollins his world championship. So now, Rollins was doing something that was well overdue. He was righting his wrongs but putting an end to Breakker and the Vision once and for all. And to do that, Rollins challenged Breakker to a steel cage match at Night of Champions 2026.
Later in the night, Breakker had his chance to respond. He claimed that Rollins made his career off of undermining others and backstabbing others, so no, he’s not the victim in this story. Breakker did what he did because Rollins’ Vision was selfish. He was using it to prey on others for his own benefit and not those around them, including himself, Bronson Reed, and Austin Theory. Breakker said Rollins isn’t a visionary; he’s a wolf in sheep’s clothing. At Night of Champions 2026, he’ll be locked in a cage with a dog, and that’s the thing about cages: the dog always makes it out.
Another Chapter in the Rollins/Breakker Rivalry
Bron Breakker and Seth Rollins were always destined to clash, though it’s likely WWE hadn’t exactly planned for it to happen this soon. Rollins’ injury accelerated the end of the Vision, but even before that, the seeds were being planted for Breakker to turn on his mentor. That moment happened a few months back as Breakker was credited with the storyline injury that kept Rollins out of action. Rollins returned with a slew of masked men, initially getting the drop on the Vision. But Breakker himself was injured when Rollins returned, delaying their showdown and pitting Rollins vs Gunther head-to-head at WrestleMania instead. That match led to Breakker’s return, and since then he’s been the ultimate thorn in Rollins’ side.
The two have wrestled two head-to-head matches as part of their feud, with each man winning once. Night of Champions 2026 will serve as the rubber match in the series and could potentially put an end to the saga. At least, for the time being.
