The WWE box has been a huge surprise for the better part of a month now. When it was announced that the contents of said box were going to be unveiled in Chicago at WWE Elimination Chamber 2026, everyone was excited. Was it The Boogeyman, maybe, a return of the Gobbledy Gooker? Perhaps it was The Shockmaster. But depending on who you ask, it was a much better surprise, as Danhausen would come out of the box, now officially a WWE superstar.
The unveiling was very elaborate, complete with Danhausenettes, as the real Danhausen would step out of the coffin-like structure within the box, with SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis and WWE Monday Night Raw head honcho Adam Pearce overseeing the proceedings. Everyone was thrilled to see Danhausen, although they were scared that they’d get cursed, with even Wade Barrett not wanting to touch the possibility with a ten-foot pole.
In classic Danhausen fashion, he would give legendary WWE announcer Michael Cole a jar of teeth as a gift, potentially for welcoming him into the fold. Fortunately, no one got cursed on this night; however, Danhausen would step in the ring and work his magic, literally, as he pointed to the hard camera, a bolt of lightning would hit. When the lights came back on, the “Very Nice” and “Very Evil” star was nowhere to be seen.
Despite his scary but comedic look, Danhausen has wreaked havoc before, striking fear into the hearts of stars he faced in Ring of Honor as well as AEW. Now that Danhausen is in the fold, who will incur the wrath of this dark being?
WWE Universe, you all are in for a treat as Danhausen remains one of the most polarizing and interesting oddities the professional wrestling industry has ever seen, and you do not want to miss a bit of it.
