AEW Collision Preview (2/21/26): Jet Set Rodeo Defend the Trios Championship

Saturday night from San Diego, California, AEW Collision is bringing heaps of action and developments following an eventful episode of Dynamite. With the return of a former AEW Women’s World champion, two championship defenses, and more fallout from Grand Slam Australia, there’s plenty of overspill and new directions to come after Wednesday night.

With three contests announced thus far, expect more graphic drops. Check back for the latest updates.

Thunder Rosa Returns

Absent with injury since All In Texas in July 2025, the former AEW Women’s World Champion is back and is hunting for a title opportunity. This past week on Dynamite, Rosa interrupted former champion, Kris Statlander. Rosa, straight out of the gate, challenges the new champion, Thekla. Although Thunder Rosa might have been watching closely while she was on the shelf, there’s a difference between watching and experiencing the toxicity of deadly Austrian.

Taking on Julia Hart, Thunder Rosa will look to throw her name into title contention. However, with fellow Sister of Sin Skye Blue standing ringside, there will be craftiness and underhanded tactics. Plus, with the potential ring rust, Rosa may be in for a rude awakening.

A lot has changed in the women’s division in Thunder Rosa’s absence. As much as La Mera Mera wants to find her position again in the pack, it’s not going to be easy. More than just getting tangled in Thekla’s webs or with the Triangle of Madness, but if she gets in the Cosmic Killer’s warpath. As a wildcard, Rosa could be about to mess up someone’s plans.

Jet Set Rodeo vs. The Demand

Two t-shirts later and a BTE joke about cockerels on horses, the fresh AEW World Trios champions will defend their titles for the first time. The championships are in an interesting position. After defeating The Opps, the unit of Hangman Adam Page, Speedball Mike Bailey and Kevin Knight have briefly been seen together, but two of the three have doing their own thing in the singles ranks.

Knight has been racking up some impressive victories. Page is the number 1 contender for the AEW World Championship, and on Wednesday night, Page made a deal with the devil that he may have doubts over. Page admitted something that many, including myself, have stated before, that the Anxious Millennial Cowboy and MJF are mirrors of each other. Yet, with his mind and focus on the AEW World Championship, will history repeat itself?

Interestingly, the last time Hangman Adam Page was a trios champion with The Young Bucks, holding the ROH Six-Man Tag Team Championship, do you know who beat them for the gold? It was the GOA with Brian Cage when they were The Mogul Embassy.

Could history repeat itself? Differently, the GOA has more than just experience on its side. They have a man who is out of this world. Ricochet, the AEW National Champion. If Ricochet were butter, he would be on a roll. With title defenses in Japan, the UK, Mexico, AEW, ROH, CMLL, Rev Pro, etc., the momentum is there.

The action will be phenomenal, but with Hangman Adam Page, you always know there’s going to be more to the story.

Matches Announced:

  • Thunder Rosa vs. Julia Hart
  • CMLL World Heavyweight Championship: Claudio Castagnoli vs. Josh Alexander
  • AEW World Trios Championship: Jet Set Rodeo vs. The Demand
