In a video package, we see SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis and the suspended Drew McIntyre negotiating terms regarding the “Scottish Psychopath’s” reinstatement. Aldis put a title match against Cody Rhodes on the table, but he wanted a formal apology and a hefty fine paid by McIntyre.
At first, Drew McIntyre was intrigued by the idea, but he would shoot it down immediately. Drew said that this is what Rhodes and Aldis wanted, for him to give in after making him fearful for his well-being in an “unsafe work environment.” If Aldis, Rhodes, and SmackDown want Drew McIntyre back, he sets the terms.
Drew McIntyre wants that Undisputed WWE Championship Match, and he wants to pick the stipulation. On top of that, he wants to get flown into Stanford, Connecticut, see WWE lawyers, and have them draft up a contract that states that Cody Rhodes cannot touch him physically, in any way, shape, or form, before their title match, or else, he will be stripped of the Undisputed WWE Title.
Aldis would agree to this and said he’ll have it done as soon as possible. Unfortunately for McIntyre, that contract cannot come soon enough, as Cody Rhodes showed up at his house, where he and Aldis were meeting, causing a scene outside the McIntyre residence.
The two would engage in a fist fight before getting broken up, as Cody Rhodes would exclaim a very vulgar “Merry Christmas, As*h*le!” to Drew McIntyre. When this match will take place is as good as anyone’s guess. That said, it will be personal, and the stakes will be high.
