Ethan Page has had a pretty spectacular year so far. He’s become NXT North American Champion as well as AAA Mixed Tag Team Champion with Chelsea Green. Becoming a double champion isn’t easy, but he’s been solid in defending both titles. He has faced competitors from WWE, TNA, and AAA during his two title reigns.
It doesn’t matter who he faces, as his antics have baffled his many opponents over the past few months. His latest defense was against Mr. Iguana in a great match at Deadline. Now everyone is wondering what is next for NXT’s double champion?
Page Gets an Unexpected Visitor During His Promo
There’s no question why Page’s nickname is “All Ego”. He loves to brag about his accomplishments inside the ring. The list has been very long since his debut in NXT, so it makes sense why he’d talk about them so much. On December 10, 2025, in an episode of NXT, he came out alone and cut a promo for the fans in the Performance Center. He started out reminding them of John Cena’s impending retirement on Saturday.
Telling them that there will be a giant space that is to be filled, he found the perfect person to fill that hole. He suggested himself, which isn’t a surprise. Going through his extensive NXT resume, he gave very valid answers as to why he should fill Cena’s shoes. He talked about how he hasn’t stopped fighting, allowing him to become a double champion.

Calling himself the best wrestler in WWE, he assured everyone that NXT is in good hands. But right as he said that, the lights went out, and a video started playing in the Performance Center. Right away, fans recognized the footage from the end of Deadline. Sure enough, the lights went back on, and Page was face-to-face with a familiar wrestler. He tried to attack D’Angelo first, but was unsuccessful.
Just like he did with Je’Von Evans, D’Angelo slammed Page to the ground. He took out more shredded pieces of his hat and sprinkled them onto him. This was a very surprising encounter. When he attacked Evans and turned his attention towards Femi, it was thought he was going after the NXT Championship. But it seems like he’s going after both championships.
However, he hasn’t said a single word, instead letting his actions do the talking. What is his reasoning behind coming back and going after championships? It’s going to be interesting to hear what he has to say when he does decide to speak. Until then, Femi and Page both have to keep a very close eye on D’Angelo.
