Zaria is now one step closer to capturing her first championship in WWE. The Aussie powerhouse advanced to the final of the latest WWE Speed Women’s Tournament.
The WWE Women’s Speed Championship is currently unaccounted for following Sol Ruca’s recent vacating of the title due to injury. Off the back of her title relinquishment, a new women’s tournament was announced by NXT GM Ava last week. The new champion will be crowned at NXT Gold Rush.
The win was a redemptive moment for the Australian star, who failed to keep the NXT North American Championship in the group at NXT Halloween Havoc.
Due to the same injury, Ruca vacated the title ahead of the PLE. Subsequently, Zaria offered to face Blake Monroe in a championship match in order to try and keep the title in their faction. Sadly, Zaria lost, delivering Monroe her first title since joining WWE earlier this year.
But tonight, it was all smiles for Zaria. Faced with the unpredictable stylings of Wren Sinclair, Zaria emerged victorious in the final 30 seconds of the match.
After escaping an Armbar, a devastating Spear and Zone of Destruction combo was enough to put Sinclair down for good. Her opponent in the tournament final will be decided on next week’s episode of NXT.
Who Will Zaria Face in the WWE Speed Tournament Final?
The second semi-final will gift an NXT debut to one of its competitors on next week’s episode. LFG Season Two winner Skylar Raye has an excellent opportunity to not only earn a PLE match at Gold Rush, but her first title match as a WWE Superstar. However, she has one of NXT’s most dangerous talents standing between her and the final.

Fallon Henley will be looking to win her third championship in NXT when her campaign begins against Raye. A former North American and NXT Tag Team Champion, Henley also holds significant clout on the brand as part of the Fatal Influence stable. And if Raye is to pull off an upset in her NXT debut, she’ll need to be wary of Henley’s stablemates Jacy Jayne and Lainey Reid.
