Ueno Dethrones Hirata, Defends Immediately Against Sumi

Kazuki Hirata defeated Yoshihiko in his first title defense of the KO-D Openweight Championship in the main event. However, his day did not end there.

Yoshihiko’s handler gave him a “gift” post-match, and when Hirata took it out of the box, it was the blue Right to Challenge arm sleeve. He unmasked and revealed himself as Yuki Ueno, there to give Hirata a taste of his own medicine.

Ueno got his revenge and beat Hirata using the element of surprise and became the KO-D Openweight champion for a third time. He wouldn’t get to close the show just yet, as the last person with the Right to Challenge, Kazuma Sumi, jumped out of nowhere to use his opportunity.

Sumi won his Right to Challenge title shot in a three-way survival tag match earlier in the show. He gave the new champion a hell of a fight before ultimately falling short.

Unfortunately, Ueno still wouldn’t get to close the show when reigning DDT Universal champion Minoru Suzuki appeared. Suzuki wanted to challenge Ueno right there and then for the Openweight crown, while Ueno stated that he’s always wanted to get back at him ever since he lost the Universal title to him back in March.

General Manager Hisaya Imabayashi stopped both men before another match could happen and booked them in a double title match at Ultimate Party on November 3rd.

Suzuki Stands Tall Over Masada For V5

Before inserting himself in the Openweight title picture after the main event and all the mayhem that followed, Minoru Suzuki successfully defended the Universal title for the fifth time against Takeshi Masada. Masada showed grit, but it wasn’t enough to topple the legend.

Kaisei Takechi Gets First Taste of Pro-Wrestling Gold

Kaisei Takechi won his first pro-wrestling championship in the form of the KO-D Six-Man Tag Team titles with T37 Kamiina’s To-y and Yuki Ueno. They bested Hideki Okatani, MJ Paul, and Ilusion of Damnation T.A. for his maiden title reign in only his fifth career match.

While this is the performer-actor’s first, To-y and later in the show Ueno, are now holders of two titles. To-y is also the reigning Extreme Champion, while Ueno climbed atop DDT’s mountain again after using his Right to Challenge Anytime, Anywhere opportunity.

In another match, AEW’s Evil Uno wasn’t triumphant in his Japan debut after losing in a tag match against HARASHIMA and Jun Akiyama teaming with Danshoku Dieno. No information is available at this time on whether he will wrestle in the coming DDT shows.
