Ashante Thee Adonis Says Goodbye to WWE

WWE officially announced that Ashante Thee Adonis, after six years in the company, will not be returning to the promotion. On August 10, Adonis himself announced he’s no longer part of the company. This news comes via X, in which he thanked his colleagues and the loyal fans who stood by him. It was not a dramatic or bitter departure; it was simply the ending of one chapter and the beginning of another.

A Peaceful Exit

This was not an unexpected and abrupt release or an outrageous firing, like many of the recent WWE departures. Reports are indicating that his contract has expired. No personal scandal behind the scenes, no drama in front of the cameras, only a professional farewell and an opportunity to work on something new.

“Sometimes You Gotta Progress Your Story Mode”

Ashante Thee Adonis combined Thanksgiving and self-confidence in his farewell post. Simply, no blaming, no extra drama, some good wishes, and good farewells. Calling himself “the face of the future” and joking that he’s why your girlfriend stopped texting back. He leaves fans smiling and wondering what’s next.

This is not the first time Ashante Thee Adonis has stepped out of the company. He was introduced in 2021, by way of year-end roster trims, but returned in the subsequent year, as part of Hit Row minus Isaiah “Swerve” Scott. However, he has made appearances in NXT, SmackDown, and went as far as engaging in an on-screen romantic affair before he parted ways with WWE.

An Energetic Last Lap

Adonis had previously teamed with Cedric Alexander and was involved in a feud with Karmen Petrovic. However, his final televised match was on June 24 against Ricky Saints. At this point, since his exit, B-Fab is the only member of Hit Row left under contract to WWE.

With no contractual ties holding him back, Ashante Thee Adonis now has a clean slate to decide his next move. He may choose to wrestle in another company, or he may start his career in another field. Some fans are speculating that he may initiate his career in Hollywood, but who knows for now? Fans will tune in and watch to see what the next step is in his story mode.
