WWE Raw results from WWE Raw tonight follows what was an exceptional, and in many ways, landscape-altering weekend for the company. Saturday Night’s Main Event XL and Evolution 2 gave way to new champions, new challengers, and an injury that could have far reaching implications. Tonight on Raw, WWE begins to unpack all of that while also beginning the short build to August’s SummerSlam. Just a few weeks separate the company from one of their big four PLEs and the journey toward building out that card kicks off tonight with a huge gauntlet match to determine Gunther’s challenger for the biggest show of the summer.

The New Champ Opens the Show but She’s Not Alone
- Drones flew over the crowd as the lights went out and the new women’s world champion, Naomi, made her way out. Time to proceed with caution. Naomi received a decent reaction but she wasn’t having it. Naomi didn’t want to hear the crowd supporting her or booing her. They weren’t feeling the glow but they are feeling her now. Naomi said everyone thought she was going to cash in on Tiffany Stratton but she warned them, that no one knows her next move but her. She’s done with the foolishness over on SmackDown. Naomi told Bianca Belair to look at the title because she didn’t betray her, she outgrew her. Her and Jade Cargill never wanted her to succeed, they wanted her as a third wheel as long as it was convenient for them. Naomi laughed as she said she’s got the upperhand now. She made history at Evolution and she’s hear to put the Raw locker room on notice…
- Enter Rhea Ripley, who had a bone to pick with the new champion as she cost her not only the title but her first ever win against IYO SKY. Ripley told Naomi she’s not cautious, she’s reckless and pissed. She walked into Evolution with two goals and Naomi prevented her from both of them. Ripley said Naomi officially made it onto her list…cue the other woman who Naomi pissed off, as SKY made her way to the ring with a mic. The crowd was hottest for SKY with chants of ‘IYO’ before she spoke. SKY told Ripley to get behind her in line. She walked in to Evolution as the champion and plans to get it back from the woman who took it from her. Naomi told SKY she couldn’t understand what she said before telling both to get to the very back of the line…cue Adam Pearce, who congratulated Naomi on the win and welcomed her to Raw officially. Pearce said Naomi made her moment and she deserves the title. He gets though that the moment came at SKY and Ripley’s expense because the match they had at Evolution was absolute magic. SummerSlam is in three weeks and it’s bigger than ever. As big as last night was, he’s ready to blow the proverbial roof off and as Pearce saw it, his match was standing in that ring. Pearce announced Naomi vs SKY vs Ripley for SummerSlam.

Balor noted that the new champs had Asuka and Kairi Sane to worry about tonight and suggested Mysterio escort them to the ring as a little added backup. Mysterio seemed suspicious but Balor continued to manipulate him by reminding him how much Liv Morgan loved the tag titles and they had to do everything in their power to make sure the belts were still in the clubhouse when she got back. Mysterio and Balor looked at a photo of Morgan as the Intercontinental Champion agreed this was for her. He wants him to get better and come back so Knight can hurt him the right way. But about the gauntlet tonight, he’s ready for the opportunity.
