Kenny Omega put his IWGP US Heavyweight Championship on the line against “Switchblade” Jay White. During the contest, Kenny Omega hit different variations of his V-Trigger and had the upper hand most of the time. Jay White seemed out of his class but turned the match when he hit his Bladerunner for the first time. Omega kicked out, but the match was even after this. The end came in shocking fashion when White countered a One-Winged Angel into a second Bladerunner to capture the title.

After the match “Hangman” Adam Page tried to challenge the new champion, but Kenny Omega interfered before Cody Rhodes and Marty Scurll entered the ring. In a heated moment, Kenny pushed Matt Jackson down which led to the Young Bucks leaving the ringside area. The rest of Bullet Club seemed to apologize to each other and just when you thought everything has been calmed, Cody hit a devastating Cross Rhodes on Omega, he grabbed a chair and proceeded to hit the Best Bout Machine.

Just before he could execute the Chairshot, Kota Ibushi ran into the ring and fended off the Bullet Club. After short hesitation, the former Golden Lovers finally embraced and hugged under the rain of red streamers. Many tears of joy where shed by fans, the announcers and Omega.
Although he lost the title, Omega regained an old friendship and left the ring as a winner. And maybe he now has a partner to go against the Bullet Club.
