Preview: WWE SmackDown (8/30/24) – The Night Before Bash in Berlin

A WWE SmackDown match graphic featuring WWE Women's Champion Nia Jax and Michin.

This week’s WWE SmackDown will be a very special one. Not only is the final stop before this Saturday night’s Bash in Berlin, but it’s also the first time WWE Friday Night SmackDown will be broadcast live in Germany. It all takes place in the Uber Arena in Berlin, the site of this weekend’s grand Premium Live Event.

WWE has a lot in store for the German fans, as well as the millions watching at home, with a show that’s going to feature two title matches, with certainly a few surprises along the way. Without further ado, let’s preview this special Berlin edition of SmackDown. Let’s run it down.

Announced for WWE SmackDown:

  • WWE Women’s Championship Match – Street Fight: Nia Jax (c) vs. Michin
  • LA Knight Issues an Open Challenge for the United States Championship

Brawl in Berlin

The Queen of the Ring and WWE Women’s Champion Nia Jax is out for blood in Berlin as she faces off against one of the fiercest competitors the roster has to offer, Michin. On last week’s SmackDown, Ms. Money in the Bank Tiffany Stratton organized a championship celebration for her “bestie” to recognize her win.

Unfortunately for the duo, the party would come crashing down very quickly. Michin still has not forgotten the beatdowns she endured from those two and is looking to exact some revenge by attempting to take Jax’s newly won crown. Nia will not take this lying down. That said, neither will Michin.

The WWE Universe will be in for a treat as, for the first time since winning the championship, Nia Jax will defend the gold in a Street Fight against one of her most bitter rivals. How will this pan out? Will Michin pull the upset of the year and end Nia’s reign before it even gets off the ground? Or will Jax show everyone why she’s the ‘Queen of WWE.’

Open Fight Night

LA Knight finally reached the mountain top at SummerSlam after he dethroned the long-reigning Logan Paul for the United States Championship. Last week, he was already putting in the work, defeating Santos Escobar to claim his first successful title defense. The ‘Megastar’ has been on an absolute roll as of late, and he’s not about to slow down now.

This Friday night, LA Knight is issuing an open challenge to anyone willing enough to reach for the brass rings, and he’s putting the U.S. Title up for grabs. Who is bold enough to step up to the plate and wrestle away the United States Championship away from the clutches of LA Knight (Yeah!)?

Find out this Friday night as you watch it all unfold only on Fox!
