AEW made its Quebec debut this week and this week’s AEW Rampage is a rather odd one. As technically, it’s the last thing taped at the Bell Centre here. However, AEW Collision, which was taped even before AEW Dynamite, will be the last piece of content to air. Odd indeed.
Of course, the Bell Centre is infamous for being the home of the 1997 Survivor Series. Where the Montreal Screw Job took place. And, well, let’s just say it was quite popular to reference the incident whenever WWE stopped by for a VERY long time.
The last time it was a prominent reference, but at least not imitated as many would in the past, was for Breaking Point 2009. As one of the main matches of the show featured D-X: Triple H and Shawn Michaels. They took on Legacy: Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase Jr. in a Submissions Count Anywhere match.
And in a cheeky moment, when the crowd started booing Shawn Michaels, Triple H simply claimed it was all Shawn’s fault—an amusing bit. But if rumors are to be believed, Triple H has quite a good amount of blame for it as well.

What’s Coming Up Tonight On AEW Rampage?
Continental Classic Action!
The AEW Continental Classic Tournament has been on fire these past few weeks on Dynamite and Collision. But this week, we got one on AEW Rampage as well. And it happens to involve Bryan Danielson! It’s Blue League action with Bryan being behind everyone else by one match due to his orbital bone fracture.
So, of course, the madman decides to make up for it with TWO matches this week. If Bryan wins, that’s 6 points for him after two matches. But for Daniel Garcia, it’s do or die at this point. As it will be his third match and a loss, much like with Mark Briscoe and Jay Lethal on Dynamite, means that he will be mathematically eliminated from qualifying for the League Finals.
Daniel Garcia has in fact defeated Bryan Danielson before. Winning by technical submission at the July 27, 2022 edition of Dynamite main event. Can he repeat it and save himself? Or will Bryan continue to dominate after beating the Champion himself Eddie Kingston last Saturday?
The Don Callis Family Continues
It seems The Don Callis Family is on Rampage duty for now. Last week was a Trios match. This week is a tag team match as Powerhouse Hobbs and Konosuke Takeshita team up to take on the former ROH World Tag Team Champions Christopher Daniels and Matt Sydal.
What is next in the pipeline for the Don Callis Family and when will that next step be taken? Let us wait and see.
Also scheduled for the show is Abadon taking on ROH’s Trish Adora as well as appearances by Orange Cassidy and Danhausen—all that and more tonight on AEW Rampage.
