While the company has not made a statement yet on their social media, WWC’s 50th Anniversary officially has a page on FITE TV. Making it available for purchase at the price of $19.99. The event is set to take place on June 24 from the Ruben Rodriguez Coliseum in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. A venue with a capacity of 12,000 people, though it comes equipped with tarping for reduced capacities. However, WWC boasts that they may sell the event out
As it stands, only one match is officially announced while two other ones can be found on the FITE TV description, but have not been confirmed on WWC’s official means.
The currently announced match is Chicky Starr, a legendary top heel since the early 80’s and aged 64, taking on Gallo The Producer. An influencer on social media, best known for his foul-mouthed antics. Much like the Paul brothers, he’s dabbled into the world of celebrity boxing, with local boxing cards. The two have been exchanging explicit language insults at each other for months before the match was made official this past Saturday. This is seen as an extremely controversial match. Not just because of Gallo The Producer’s lack of formal training. But also because of Chicky Starr. Who at 64 years of age, has already had two visits to the Emergency Room due to near fatal illness in years prior. It’s brought into question the legitimacy of Puerto Rico’s boxing and wrestling commission. Which is strict when it comes to demanding wrestlers acquire official licenses locally. But then you see this case where someone that lacks training and someone clearly unfit at age are able to get clearance.

The other matches include Eddie Colón, former WWE Tag Team Champion, taking on top 90’s and 2000’s heel, Ray Gonzalez. They fight for the position of “Director Of Operations”. A position Ray Gonzalez has put on the line several times since last year’s Anniversary. This is a rematch after their last encounter ended in dispute. This time, two referees will be announced for the match.
Finally, current WWC Universal Champion Intelecto 5 Estrellas (5 Star Intellect) is set to defend the title against Carlito. The match was teased last month at WWC’s “Camino A La Gloria” (Road To Glory) event where Carlito hit the Champion with the Backstabber. But no follow up has happened yet, as Carlito has been out with an arm injury since then.

Mike Nice vs Bronco #1 for the Puertorican title seems very likely as a tease was set up last Saturday. Bronco #1 is one of the Dominican Republic’s most successful wrestlers and has had a lot of success in Puerto Rico as well. Recognized as one of the best talkers in the Caribbean. Mike Nice is one of WWC’s newer stars. Debuting last year for the company where he had a run as TV Champion. Prior to that, he was the top star of smaller promotion CWA. Where he held that company’s top title three times before migrating to WWC.
