It’s Official: AEW “All In” Coming to the UK in Summer ’23

Well, it’s official. Ahead of tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite, All Elite Wrestling‘s (AEW) Twitter accounts had announced that a big announcement was coming this week. Arriving directly from the mouth of All Elite Wrestling (AEW) President and CEO Tony Khan on this tonight’s edition of AEW Dynamite, AEW will be coming to the United Kingdom this Summer. An AEW UK event had long been on the cards, and this has been a long-time goal of Khan’s which had been significantly postponed by the global pandemic of 2020.

You may remember that, back in the fall of 2022, there was an initial announcement that AEW would indeed be coming to the United Kingdom in 2023. However, there was no confirmed date at the time and talk of the UK event went silent for the proceeding months – likely as there had been no official date confirmed.

UK Date and Venue – What This Means For AEW

AEW will be coming to the United Kingdom this Summer on August 27th and will be held at Wembley Stadium Further house show dates and venues are also expected to be announced. The title of the show “All In” calls back to the 2018 event by the same name that served as a catalyst for AEW to start.

With Tony Khan recently confirming that AEW’s UK viewership is larger than the WWE‘s in the UK with thanks to its deal with UK based station ITV, it is no surprise that the AEW boss would be looking to take advantage of AEW’s popularity in that market. Whereas AEW has ventured outside of the United States before, with recent shows in Canada proving to be highly successful, this will be AEW’s first overseas trip and its first real test of international prestige.

IMPACT Wrestling, despite being a far smaller company than the WWE, had previously enjoyed great business in the United Kingdom and AEW will perhaps be looking to capitalize on an international fan base which has traditionally backed alternative promotions. With the United Kingdom being a traditional wrestling stronghold, it only makes sense that it would eventually become All Elite. This Summer, it will become just that.
