Is Elektra Lopez next in line for the NXT Women’s Championship?
Lopez has come a long way since her debut. After her NXT debut, she also took her talents to Ring of Honor and the Independent Circuit. Her first NXT loss was to Lacey Evans on November 14, 2018, but since then, she has grown into a threat in the women’s division. Her mic skills are solid, her in-ring work has improved, and her character is much better.
Elektra Lopez is well-educated in the world of women’s wrestling. Not only has she wrestled for several promotions, but she has also been a women’s champion before. She has been a LAW (Legendary Action Wrestling) women’s champion, a WS (Wrestling Superstars) women’s champion, and a WXW (World Xtreme Wrestling) C4 women’s champion. Although those promotions are not in the same class as NXT, it shows she can win the big one.
Elektra Lopez has been around long enough to scout the NXT women’s division and seek out the talent in the ring. Nikkita Lyons was the next female to win the NXT women’s championship. With her out, that position has to go to someone who can win the title and have a lengthy defense. With her talent and improved character, Lopez has a shot to stand out from the rest of the women’s division. Elektra Lopez is a woman to keep your eye on as she climbs the charts in hopes of winning her first major championship. She has proven she is dangerous inside the ring and capable of putting on a solid match.
She is on the rise in NXT. Lopez has been impressive in both singles and tag team action and looks to be building momentum. She has everything to be successful, good mic skills, in-ring talent, and a character that appears to be working her way into the title picture. With her progression in NXT, Elektra Lopez could be in line for a WWE call-up sooner than later. Aside from Roxanne Perez and Nikita Lyons, Elektra Lopez looks to put a stranglehold on the women’s division until she has gold around her waist.
