New ROH Roster – The Women’s Division
Athena
The current ROH Women’s Champion Athena stands atop the women’s division. The former WWE star has quickly shed her Embrer Moon name and showcased the ability and character work that initially got her signed. With her in-ring abilities, there are few better women to hold the title than the SHIMMER alumni.
Billie Starkz
After impressing in Game Changer Wrestling (GCW) and other independent groups, Billie Starkz has had a breakout 2023 having appeared on AEW Dark a number of times this year. This followed up her debut tour in Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling (TJPW) which saw her take on Yuka Sakazaki for the Princess of Princess Championship. Starkz is one of the top prospects in U.S. women’s wrestling and it would appear she will be honing her craft in ROH as she works her way up the card.
Trish Adora
Adora has spent over 1,100 days as Pan-Afrikan World Diaspora champion. She has defended that title all over the indies and remains the only champion in the history of the title. Adora has been wrestling for 6 years and wrestled for ROH before they were purchased by Tony Khan where she reached the semi-final of the tournament won by Rok-C to crown a new women’s champion.
Willow Nightingale
Another ROH alumni and someone that a lot of fans should be familiar with. Willow Nightingale has quickly made herself a fan favourite with the AEW fanbase and appears to be headed to ROH where she can be a featured part of the division.
Lady Frost
Lady Frost is a talented wrestler who just hasn’t been able to find a home over the years. She has wrestled in CMLL, IMPACT Wrestling, Beyond Wrestling, NWA and CHIKARA in her career. She could be one of the finest additions to the ROH women’s division if she sticks around as she is a versatile wrestler to keep your eyes on.
The Renegades
In our opinion, this was a hugely necessary signing. The Renegade Twins have impressed everywhere they have been including NWA, AEW, Mission Pro Wrestling and Capitol Championship Wrestling. Either as a tag team or as individuals they are consistent performers who could become the backbone of the division.
Madison Rayne & Skye Blue
The Coach and her tag partner are set to appear on ROH in its early days. Rayne is a veteran that many people know from her time in TNA/IMPACT or the WWE’s Mae Young Classic. Rayne has partnered with upcoming star Skye Blue who pretty quickly made her way to AEW after being showcased on the indies. Blue is one of the most active women in AEW as she competes on AEW shows and the independent scene as she continues to gain experience.
Miranda Alize
Another familiar face from the revamped ROH Women’s Division pre-TK. Alize has been wrestling for 8 years after starting out in Booker T’s Reality of Wrestling (ROW) before spending time in Japan with Stardom in 2018. The masked sensation has wrestled for IMPACT Wrestling and on AAA joint-produced shows as well as places like Hurrican Pro Wrestling.
Hyan
Texas indie sensation Hyan is a proven commodity in her local scene having held women’s gold in ROW and New Texas Pro. She debuted in 2014 and has been loyal to the Texas indie scene ever since aside from a brief stint in Japan with Marvelous and Sendai Girls and a UK tour to RevPro. She’s a wrestler that has been TV-ready for some time and could be a breakout star of the new ROH roster and its women’s division.
