IMPACT x NJPW Crossover Event Announced

IMPACT Wrestling and New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) announced a crossover event for WrestleMania weekend in 2023. The event called Multiverse United – Only The Strong Survive will take place on March 30th at the Globe Theater in Los Angeles California.

Two matches have already been announced for the show. “Speedball “Mike Bailey will take on Will Ospreay and the current IMPACT World Champion Josh Alexander will take on Kushida. Moose will also represent IMPACT against Jeff Cobb of NJPW. More matches are expected to be announced as the event gets closer. Already announced competitors include Trey Miguel, Ace Austin, Chris Bey, KENTA, Rocky Romero, Minoru Suzuki, Clark Connors, Kevin Knight, Fred Rosser, and more to be announced.

Ospreay and Bailey have not stepped into the ring together since August 2022. This will be the fifth time the two have stepped into the ring.

As for Kushida and Alexander, both have singles gold but are also decorated tag team champions. Alexander was part of The North alongside Ethan Page as the two hold the record for longest-reigning IMPACT Tag Team Champions. KUSHIDA is known for his tag teamwork as part of Time Splitters with Alex Shelley.

Tickets for IMPACT x NJPW go on sale Friday, February 10th.
