The Royal Rumble has come and gone. Not only do we have a male and female winner to lead the way on the Road To Wrestlemania, but also a litany of various feuds being teased or furthered during the night of the event. WWE Raw tonight takes place in the BOK Center of Tulsa, Oklahoma. A notable episode of Smackdown took place on January 18, 2011 (televised January 21, 2011) from this venue as it saw the birth of The Corre. Wade Barrett, Justin Gabriel, Heath Slater and Ezekiel Jackson. The former three migrated from Monday Night Raw after being ousted from The Nexus when CM Punk took over the group. That same episode, saw Rey Mysterio face Cody Rhodes and hit a 619 that gave Cody Rhodes a small nose injury that would lead to him wearing a protective mask, claiming Rey Mysterio disfigured him and setting up their feud that would culminate at Wrestlemania 27.

Mami Did It!
This year’s Royal Rumble event saw various iron-people emerge. WWE Intercontinental Champion Gunther broke the record for his singular stint in the match itself. Meanwhile, Rhea Ripley saw action in both Royal Rumble matches. Appearing during the men’s match where she ended up attacked by Beth Phoenix and then later started the female Royal Rumble at #1 and went on to win it all.
We’ve seen Rhea Ripley be on an absolute tear the past few months not just in her shenanigans as a member of The Judgment Day, but also as a wrestler. She’s dominated the ring. From War Games, to even winning a rare intergender match over Akira Tozawa. Now we’re set to see Rhea Ripley lead the way to Wrestlemania where she’ll be challenging one of the two Women’s Champions. Who will she choose? Her predecessor, the Smackdown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair? Or her contemporary Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair? And another question is when will that choice be made?
Bloodshed In The Bloodline
The end of the Kevin Owens/Roman Reigns Unified Universal WWE Championship match was one of the most impactful endings to a large-scale WWE event ever. Sami Zayn, in a seeming act of guilt, tried to stop Roman Reigns’ onslaught on the already defeated and handcuffed Kevin Owens. This led to, of all things, Sami echoing Seth Rollins’ infamous chair shot to Roman’s back when The Shield first broke up in 2014 by doing it himself. This was followed up of course by Roman, Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa viciously attacking Sami while Jey Uso left, himself conflicted.
We know the next Premium Live Event is Elimination Chamber. We know it’s in Montreal. The hometown of both Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens. What is to come as this massive turn happens in this ongoing saga?
Adrenaline! In My Soul! Something, something, CODY RHODES!!
The grandson of a plumber has made his comeback and did it. He has won the Royal Rumble. This guarantees him a shot at the Unified Universal WWE Championship as he looks to fulfill his promise after he came back to the WWE, the Raw after Wrestlemania. We’ve seen him fall in his first run WWE. His growth through the independents, Ring Of Honor World Champion, IWGP US Champion, to a bet with Dave Meltzer that ended a 20 year monopoly and now, he looks to FINALLY take the throne in the main event of Wrestlemania. Lets see where things go from here.
All that and more as the Road To Wrestlemania officially starts on WWE Raw tonight. Get those fingers ready, because it’s time to point at that sign. Please don’t catch fire.
