Headlined by marquee bouts including Roman Reigns vs Logan Paul, Brock Lesnar vs Bobby Lashley, and Bianca Belair vs Bayley, WWE Crown Jewel was certainly a strong show for the company. And with a strong show, there was bound to bring intrigue in what’s next. This past Friday’s SmackDown was the company’s first blue brand show following Saturday, November 5th’s Crown Jewel premium live event. November 7th’s Raw saw solid ratings as the flagship brand bounced back for the Crown Jewel fallout show. SmackDown also benefited from a post-Crown Jewel bump, hitting its best number in nearly two months. Let’s take a deeper dive into the numbers for last week’s SmackDown.

As reported by Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics, last week’s episode of SmackDown had a total of 2,264,000 viewers and a demo rating of 0.58, making it television’s best program on Friday night. AEW Rampage, which drew just 456,000 viewers was the 55th-best cable original program on the night.
According to ITN WWE, this was SmackDown’s best total viewership number since the blue brand topped 2.5M on September 23rd. Clearly, the advertisement of this past week’s SmackDown as a Crown Jewel fallout show helped aid the numbers. Though not much was announced in advance of SmackDown, one major title rematch may have moved the numbers as WWE heavily promoted the New Day taking on the Usos for the WWE Undisputed Tag Team Championship. Should the Usos win, they would guarantee themselves the record as the longest-reigning tag champs, unseating the New Day in the process.
SmackDown, which also announced an appearance by Bray Wyatt in advance, featured several matches in the World Cup-inspired tournament, a six-pack challenge to determine Ronda Rousey‘s next challenger for the SmackDown Women’s Championship, the return of Sarah Logan and the Viking Raiders, and a Bloodline celebration ceremony which erupted into a brawl between the Bloodline and the Brawling Brutes and Drew McIntyre.
