Sports. Honestly. Since 2011

Preview: WWE SmackDown (9/23/22) – Roman Reigns & Rabbit Galore

Roman Reigns Returns to SmackDown ratings

Can you believe it is Friday already? Heck, can you believe we are almost in October? We’re missing Summer almost as much as SmackDown fans are missing Roman Reigns, who has apparently been away long enough for a SmackDown appearance to be considered a return. Weird. We’ll be covering that and some strange thing involving a white rabbit, which could be anything from a Bray Wyatt return to the return of Justin Gabriel inside a bunny costume. Oh, we’ll also be covering the actual announced matches, too. Without further ado, let’s dive right in.

Otis vs. Braun Strowman

There was actually a time when these two goliaths were friends. During the pandemic days of 2020, Braun Strowman and Otis were coexisting rather well as WWE Champion and Mr. Money in the Bank, respectfully. Nowadays? These two are on a collision path and given Strowman has only recently returned to the company complete with a big push, it’s probably bad news for Otis. It’s a “big meaty men” match live on SmackDown tonight.

Brawling Brutes vs. The Usos

The Brawling Brutes (Ridge Holland & Butch) look to cement their status as a serious, challenging tag team in this Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship match against The Usos (Jimmy & Jey Uso). Given the Brawling Brutes (alongside group leader, Sheamus) are currently embroiled in a hot feud with Imperium (Gunther, Ludwig Kaiser & Giovanni Vinci), one might expect this match to not end on the cleanest of notes. Could we see some outside interference? We’ll find out tonight. Regardless, it is hard to picture The Usos losing here.

Once more, has The Tribal Chief really been away long enough for an appearance tonight to constitute a return? Anyhow, he will no doubt be appearing to address Logan Paul – his upcoming opponent for the Saudi Crown Jewel event. Paul believes he can take down the Head of the Table, Roman denies any likelihood this could happen. Love them or hate them, Roman and Paul are two of the biggest names in all of professional wrestling (with one of them being a certified, social media superstar, which is what matters in the present age) and this feud will generate plenty of buzz. Expect things to heat up tonight.

Not Announced But Expected for SmackDown

– The White Rabbit thing. Many of us believe it is leading to the return of Bray Wyatt (please be the return of Justin Gabriel as The Bunny, damn it) and there is a strong possibility that, tonight, we find out where all the teasers are leading. With the date on the latest teaser being today’s date, we might get some answers… or another teaser.
