This week’s episode of AEW Dark Elevation looks to be filled with fun match-ups! With five matches set to take place, expect a lot of fun action. Emi Sakura looks to pick up some momentum, but she, unfortunately, faces off with the dominant monster Abadon. Next, Keith Lee and Swerve Strickland go head to head with The Factory’s QT Marshall and Nick Comoroto. Finally, our focus will be on singles action as Dark Order’s John Silver as he takes on the debuting former ROH World Television Champion Tony Deppen.

Tony Deppen in Action
We are treated to the debut of another former Ring of Honor standout in Tony Deppen. He faces a tough challenge as he takes on Dark Order’s John Silver. For those unfamiliar with Deppen, he’s a well-rounded talent but really shines in the technical aspects of chain wrestling.
Though Ring of Honor is where he’s been most successful, Deppen has also been a highlight in GCW. With strong showings against Bandido, Taiji Ishimori, and Dragon Lee. Deppen is a talent that can’t be overlooked. Still, it’s hard to go against Silver in this match-up. “Johnny Hungee” might be a fixture in AEW’s tag-team division, but he has shown himself to be a strong singles competitor.
Some of his most impressive outings have come against former AEW World title challengers Adam Cole and Bryan Danielson. He did come up short in those match-ups but pushed both men more than most. Silver will walk away with the win in this one but expect Deppen to make a case to be the next recipient of the All Elite treatment.
