Japanese Pro Wrestling legend and NOAH’s mainstay, Naomichi Marufuji made his boxing debut today in an exhibition bout at a 3150 Fight event aired on Abema TV.
Marufuji started to train boxing as a hobby a few months ago. In November he was offered the chance to participate in an exhibition bout against another boxing enthusiast, Takayuki Kinoshita, who is 61 years old automotive journalist and comedian.
The fight has reached its full-time limit, which was 2 x 2 minutes round ending with a draw. Pro Wrestling Noah promoted the fight heavily through the day as promotion is preparing to clash with NJPW at the upcoming Wrestle Kingdom 16 event.

We don’t foresee Naomichi Marufuji trading in his wrestling boots for the gloves anytime soon. But it was nice to see the NOAH legend get a chance to take part in something he enjoys as an exhibition.
