On WWE Raw Roman Reigns will hear whether his cousin Jacob Fatu is up to his challenge

The Real Threats to Roman Reigns Before SummerSlam 2026

Bron Breakker

While Gunther has the potential to end Roman Reigns’ career and send him to Hollywood with The Rock, Bron Breakker is definitely the dark horse pick to battle Reigns for the title, as he has not been talked about as a top contender as much as Femi and Gunther as of late. However, he has a major program with Rollins that would propel him to that spot.

In fact, he still needs revenge after Reigns pummeled his pal from the Vision, Bronson Reed, back in the fall. Furthermore, from a marketing standpoint, the battle of the spears has a nice ring to it. Breakker has the best spear in WWE, so Reigns really needs to step up his game if he’s going to be champion.

Honorable Mention: Jacob Fatu

While Breakker has the potential to be the new “Big Dog” in WWE, anyone would be remiss to neglect the current challenger for Reigns’ World Title, Jacob Fatu. After defeating former world champ, Drew McIntyre, at ‘Mania, Fatu punched his ticket to the main event scene and teased a title match with Reigns on the Raw after Mania.

This will likely take place at Backlash, which is the first PPV title defense for Reigns. It is unlikely that Reigns loses the title so soon after dethroning Punk at Mania, but Fatu is definitely a contender worthy of a push. He can prove to the fans that he is a Lone Wolf who does not need Bloodline to succeed, unlike Reigns.
