At NXT Revenge Week One, Lola Vice retained the NXT Women's Championship, but Kendal Grey made her presence felt

NXT Revenge Week One Review (4/14/26) – Implode, Explode

Lola Vice retains

Lola Vice is still the NXT Women’s Champion after an incredible showing against former champion Jacy Jayne. The supreme striking skills of Vice were on full display as she cut down the challenger, forcing Jayne to regroup and strategize a new plan. A timely distraction from Lainey Reid at ringside led to Jayne clocking the champion with a huge running knee strike, putting Vice’s title reign in trouble.

Reid once again inserted herself into the action, but her punch couldn’t keep Vice down as the champion rocked the challenger with her signature Spinning Backfist, winning the match and retaining her title. After the match, Kali Armstrong attacked Fatal Influence and taunted Vice. Kendal Grey and Izzi Dame did the same. Zaria arrived to be attacked by Sol Ruca.

Meanwhile, backstage

  • Ethan Page and Ricky Saints seemed to be back on the same page, but Shiloh Hill was listening.
  • Next week, the match between Zaria and Sol Ruca will be a Last Woman Standing.
  • WWE Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer came to support Lola Vice.
  • The Vanity Project was trying to have Blake Monroe’s back, regarding the Women’s North American Title. Robert Stone made the match, but Tatum Paxley will get to pick the stipulation.
  • Next week, Zaria will destroy Sol Ruca.
  • Tatum Paxley chose a Casket match as the stipulation for her next week’s match against Blake Monroe.

Nygma Says

The episode was pretty good, introducing new storylines and wrapping up others. Lola Vice now has a slew of possible contenders for the NXT Women’s Championship. DarkState is about to implode. Keanu Carver is about to explode. Ricky Saints and Ethan Page’s reunion won’t last long, for sure. Kali Armstrong made a strong statement for her NXT debut.

On a call-up perspective, it’s hard to say who could make their main roster debut on Raw or SmackDown after WrestleMania 42. Jacy Jayne and Kelani Jordan seem to be the most probable names, but for now. Depending on the results of Week Two, more names could make the list.

Well, this new era of NXT is as exciting as it can be surprising. I’ll see you next week as I keep on exploring the NXT world through the NXTNA “cold war.” Till then, may the Nygma be with you.
