Oba Femi Taking Down Brock Lesnar Is the Right Call for WrestleMania 42

Brock Lesnar laid out an open challenge for WrestleMania 42. Oba Femi answered it and dropped Brock Lesnar like a sack of potatoes. Who needs a storyline when the formula is simple? WWE booked a spectacle between two behemoths who will drop the jaws of the casual fans in attendance at WrestleMania.

One of those juggernauts is established on the brink of retirement, and the other is a rising star making a name for himself on the big stage. Here are three reasons why Oba Femi should slay Brock Lesnar at ‘Mania 42.

Oba Femi Needs To Become The Next Beast Incarnate in WWE

As of this writing, Brock Lesnar is only scheduled for WrestleMania and SummerSlam. Some naysayers may say that it is too early for a wrestler who just recently got called up from NXT to beat Brock on his first try. However, if Brock isn’t available for a trilogy this summer, this needs to be a one-and-done situation that puts the young talent over.

And, Oba Femi is not just any “young talent.” He is a legitimate beast who should take Brock’s spot as the Beast Incarnate, and he can only do that by slaying The Beast.

Brock Lesnar Needs To Pass The Torch To Oba Femi & Turn Babyface Before His Retirement Match With Gunther

Some naysayers may even say that Brock needs momentum for his retirement match against Gunther at SummerSlam and should win at Mania. However, since he is on his way out, he should be an adored babyface against a heel Gunther.

And, if Lesnar really wants to be glorified on his way out the door, he would do that by elevating, not burying, young talent. The best way to do that is by losing to Femi, shaking his hand as a sign of respect, and raising his hand as a sign of passing the torch to the “next big thing” in the WWE.

Oba Femi Can Use This Victory To Create A Commemorative WrestleMania Streak Of His Own

When Paul Heyman introduced the Brock Lesnar Open Challenge, he called back to The Undertaker, who is renowned for his 21-0 WrestleMania Streak. Brock was the star who broke that streak, so it would be symbolic to see Femi take that mantle and create a commemorative WrestleMania streak of his own.

Booking Femi to lose his ‘Mania debut would be criminal, especially when there is so much money in a potential WrestleMania streak for him. The Undertaker is even a fan of Oba Femi, so this would seal the deal.
