After a four-month layoff, WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event (SNME) comes back to the WWE Universe this coming May after WrestleMania 42. WWE typically does WWE SNME specials in between Premium Live Events, but it seems like they want to focus on weekly TV ahead of the “Showcase of the Immortals.” Fortunately, we have the details of the event according to a WWE statement.
At Fort Wayne, Indiana, in the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum on May 23, 2026, the 44th edition of WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event (SNME) will be held. Again, this comes off the back of the 43rd edition, four full months after, which featured a card of RHIYO vs. Liv Morgan and Roxanne Perez for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.
It also saw the penultimate match of AJ Styles against Shinsuke Nakamura as they turned back on the clock to their NJPW days, ahead of his Retirement Match against Gunther at this past Royal Rumble, as well as a Fatal 4-Way Match that featured Randy Orton, Damian Priest, Trick Williams, and eventual winner Sami Zayn to challenge then-Undisputed WWE Champion Drew McIntyre.
This will be Fort Wayne’s first televised WWE event since 2014 and the first time Indiana has hosted Saturday Night’s Main Event since 1992. Tickets go on sale on March 19 at 10 AM local, and Peacock will televise the event live, similar to the recent iterations of the classic WWE event.

WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event has always been a good time, as long-time fans remember the classics that went on during this event. WWE has put on this show as a tribute to that Golden Era, bringing back the timeless look of the 80s and early 90s, even having Cody Rhodes bring back the classic Winged-Eagle WWE Championship for one night only.
May will be packed with WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event XLIV as well as WWE Backlash earlier in the month, keeping the WWE Universe well-fed after WrestleMania 42.
