Triple H sure does like to pull the masked assailant angle off, doesn’t he? After tugging at that string only a few months ago, at the Survivor Series, he went back to the well at the Royal Rumble. As Bron Breakker was making his way to the ring, yet another masked man attacked, thus ruining Breakker’s chances at competing in the Royal Rumble match.
It’s a bit of poetic justice that Breakker met his end in such a fashion, as it was this same angle that helped his team achieve victory inside of WarGames, and just like WarGames, the world is debating who is under the hood. Who is the man who decided to interject himself into The Visions’ business? Is it an old foe or a new enemy trying to establish themselves? Let’s look at some possibilities.
Seth Rollins
The low-hanging fruit in this situation would be none other than Seth Rollins. The former leader of The Vision met a very unceremonious end to his reign when Bron Breakker decided to spear him, thus putting him on the “shelf.” He has remained, with a legitimate injury, for months now, but who is to say that he isn’t ready to come back?
Rollins has been known to fib a bit when it comes to his injury status, and he loves the type of deception that would follow this masked attack.
When we look at the attack closer, we can obviously see that the moves used were the favourite of The Architect. The Stomp is his finish, and while it could just be a red herring, it could be an easy swerve to divert our attention away from Seth Rollins being the attacker. There is no other wrestler on the roster who has more motivation than Rollins to ruin the future of Bron Breakker.
