Chris Jericho is Returning to the Ring – And He’s Facing Nicole Kidman

Chris Jericho’s next wrestling gig has been revealed. But it’s not the WWE return that so many fans have expected. Y2J has been the source of relentless speculation over the last few months, with rumors linking him to a shocking WWE return. Many fans and industry insiders are hopeful of a WWE Royal Rumble homecoming. However, some are wondering whether Jericho would be likely to repeat an old trick.

The four-time WWE Champion returned at the 2013 Royal Rumble after a five-month hiatus. Entering second, he lasted 47 minutes before being eliminated by Dolph Ziggler. But it seems that it won’t be an AEW, WWE, or TNA Wrestling ring that Jericho will be stepping inside for his next gig.

Chris Jericho’s Wrestling Return Revealed

Eagle-eyed social media users have spotted Jericho in the background of a still from Apple’s upcoming series ‘Margo’s Got Money Troubles’. Elle Magazine recently shared the first look at the show, which depicts Oscar-winning Nicole Kidman leaning on the ropes, deep in thought. Jericho can be seen in the ring with her.

Based on the popular 2024 novel, the show stars Margo Millet (played by recent Oscar nominee Elle Fanning). Millet drops out of college after becoming pregnant with her professor’s baby. Millet, a former Hooters waitress and professional wrestler, then turns to OnlyFans to support herself financially. Kidman plays Millet’s mother and the professor’s mediator. Millet’s father, an ex-pro wrestler, is portrayed by Nick Offerman. Chris Jericho, rather interestingly, is listed as playing himself.

Distraction or Push?

It remains to be seen whether this is a well-timed distraction from Y2J’s rumor mill or merely the beginning of a push worthy of his ego. It could also explain why he’s been conspicuously absent from AEW screens for the majority of 2025. Jericho hasn’t wrestled since losing his ROH World Championship to Bandido last April. Crucially, he does remain listed on the official roster page.

As for his new TV show, fans won’t have to wait long to see Jericho in a wrestling ring again. ‘Margo’s Got Money Troubles’ will be available on Apple TV from April 15th.
