Did Maxxine Dupri Successfully Defend Her Women’s Intercontinental Championship on the 12/15 WWE Raw?

Maxxine Dupri’s road to becoming Women’s Intercontinental Champion is inspirational to everyone. Becky Lynch had been given a beating after a beating for weeks. Verbal abuse turned into physical abuse quickly. But she never gave up, with that abuse motivating her to beat Lynch. When it happened, her stock immediately rose.

She went from a manager to a champion. However, she quickly realized she needed to get serious about her reign.

Enlisting the help of Natalya, she trained really hard in order to be in the best shape she could be in. Now the time had come for her to have her first title defense. Would she win, or would the hard work be for nothing?

Maxxine Dupri Beats Ivy Nile to Remain Women’s Intercontinental Champion

The December 15, 2025, episode of WWE Monday Night Raw was the biggest night of Dupri’s career. It was the first time she would walk out as a champion. However, she had to be smart, or else she would leave without the belt. Her challenger was Ivy Nile, who has been on a hiatus with the Creed Brothers since Chad Gable’s injury. But now they’re back, eager to reintroduce themselves while making Gable proud.

The first step to do that is for Nile to take the Women’s Intercontinental Championship. But she isn’t facing the Dupri from a couple of months ago. This is a new and improved Dupri thanks to training with Natalya.

The match began, with Dupri showing off her physicality from the start. Punching Nile, she showed everyone that her title reign isn’t a laughing matter. The battle just got more intense from that point forward. Dupri had Nile in an ankle lock, which she broke out of after getting assistance from the ropes. Nile dropped Dupri on her back onto the canvas, then dumped her outside.

Both women’s intense physicality was on display. But Natalya’s influence proved too much for Nile in the end. Dupri grabbed onto her leg for a second time, refusing to let go. She finally kicked her away, but how she did it was the deciding factor of the match. Dupri was sent against the ropes, bouncing back towards her.

After doing a flip, Dupri was back on her leg like she never let go in the first place. Again, she kicked Dupri away and was immediately at a disadvantage after cornering her. For the fourth time, Nile was caught in the ankle lock by Dupri. It was too much, as she tapped out. It was a reasonable effort by Nile, but Dupri walked away still the Women’s Intercontinental Champion.
