At AEW Collision: Winter Is Coming, the main event saw Mark Briscoe defend the TNT Championship against Daniel Garcia of the Death Riders. Briscoe, who had lost the title to Kyle Fletcher at Full Gear and later regained it, wanted a real test for his first defense. The Cardiff, Wales crowd witnessed a hard-fought battle that ultimately ended with Briscoe retaining the championship.
Evenly Matched Competition at the Start
The match opened with both competitors showing their skills in an evenly contested opening stretch. Mark Briscoe had the early advantage, but Daniel Garcia capitalized on mistakes from the champion and began to take control. Garcia attempted multiple superplexes in an effort to wear Briscoe down, but the champion refused to stay down. After a lengthy exchange of strikes, Briscoe shifted the momentum back in his favor with a powerful lariat.
The intensity increased when Marina Shafir attempted to get involved, prompting the referee to eject her from ringside. Moments later, Wheeler Yuta ran through the crowd and knocked Mark Briscoe down, allowing Garcia to hit a piledriver. Briscoe came close to losing the match but showed his resilience by kicking out at the last moment and keeping the title alive.
Mark Briscoe Secures the Win
In the closing moments, Briscoe countered a roll-up attempt by Garcia into the Dragon Slayer, forcing Garcia to escape. Briscoe then followed up with a well-timed kick and set up his finishing move, the Jay Driller, executing it cleanly to score the three-count.
As the show came to a close, The Conglomeration, joined by Roderick Strong, entered the ring to celebrate Briscoe’s victory. With this successful defense, Mark Briscoe remains TNT Champion heading into 2026 and reinforcing his position at the top of the division.
