Ever since CM Punk made his return in 2023, he has proven that he can still wrestle. Although CM Punk is RAW’s top babyface and World Heavyweight Champion, it’s unclear how long CM Punk wants to go as an in-ring performer. One thing about CM Punk is that he always impresses the fans. He might go longer than most people think. Maybe CM Punk can go for another few years until 2029, just to put a year.
CM Punk’s dream matches always had Stone Cold Steve Austin and Bret Hart in his list of past stars. In WWE’s current time, Punk has already wrestled Gunther, but he hasn’t faced another dream opponent, Cody Rhodes. It would be a star-caliber match to see if Punk were to go against Cody.
If WWE plays its cards right, CM Punk might face Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 42. Other past opponents Punk can go against are both Randy Orton and Rey Mysterio because Punk always enjoyed working with those two men.
CM Punk can face Kevin Owens. Even though it’s hard to determine the chances of that match occurring due to Owens’ severe neck injury, there is still hope for Owens to return to the ring. Other names, such as LA Knight and Finn Bálor, would be credible opponents for Punk, since they’re all currently on the same show.
