The Ninth Wonder of the World had no shortage of challengers, with Chris Jericho determined to bring Chyna’s Intercontinental Championship reign to a halt at Survivor Series 1999. There was a caveat as Y2J would have to undergo gender reassignment surgery if he failed to unseat Chyna for the title.
For sure, Jericho aided Chyna in giving her one of the best matches in her career. Despite Chyna’s popularity, fans were backing Jericho to win the Intercontinental Championship. Their title match was one of the highlights of a poor Survivor Series card, but Chyna retained the Intercontinental Championship with an Avalanche Pedigree.
