WWE is ready to hit one out of the park when they bring the wrestling ring to the baseball diamond for 2025’s edition of Survivor Series. Now, this is not the first time WWE has found itself wrestling in MLB’s backyard, with notable events occurring including four WrestleManias: the SkyDome twice, (VI and X8) Astrodome (2001), Sun Life Stadium (2012), and Safeco Field (XIX) and three Royal Rumbles: Chase Field (2019), Minute Maid Park/Daikin Park (2020) and Tropicana Field (2024). And of course, most recently at the Rogers Centre (which along with its predecessor, the Sky Dome has given Toronto the most WWE events for a baseball stadium with three), WWE brought Elimination Chamber to the diamond, setting the stage for a shocking heel turn for John Cena.
2025 will be the first time Survivor Series will take place in a ballpark and the first time Petco Park, home of the San Diego Padres, will host a WWE event. And boy is it a good first one to have. WWE has absolutely loaded the card for this event which includes two War Games matches and John Cena in action in his last PPV/PLE ever. Huge names have already been announced for the show, San Diego’s first PPV/PLE since 2008’s Extreme Rules, with more to come. There is no doubt this could be one of WWE’s top events of the 2025 calendar so whether you are watching it in person or online, you will not want to miss this epic show.
