The WWE flagship Premium Live Event, WrestleMania, may be going international, probably for the very first time. A recent report proposes that Saudi Arabia will host WrestleMania 43 in 2027. It marks the first time the event takes place outside North America.
The news appears first in a Snapchat video advertisement by Turki Al-Sheikh, Chairman of the Saudi General Entertainment Authority. Although WWE itself has not officially reported anything. But, iper Mike Johnson of PWInsider, the report is 100% legitimate. The company will announce in the near future.
WWE and the Growing Partnership With the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
The association between WWE and Saudi Arabia started back in 2018. The nation hosts significant premium live events (PLEs) annually. Many wrestling analysts shared a report that every WWE show in Saudi Arabia has made about $50 million.
This alliance is growing. Saudi Arabia is already gearing to host the Royal Rumble in 2026, and now WrestleMania appears to be the jewel in its crown. In the meantime, WrestleMania 42 will be in Las Vegas at Allegiant Stadium in April 2026, holding it for the second consecutive year after the historic WrestleMania 41.
WWE Global Expansion Strategy
Bringing WrestleMania to Saudi Arabia will be a perfect fit, in line with WWE’s current global expansion strategy. In the past few years, the company has organized major events in Puerto Rico, France, Germany, Australia, and the United Kingdom, in an attempt to drive more international visibility to the product, especially now that they’re under TKO Holdings. Fans and analysts consider it a big step in the logical continuation of this expansion to take WrestleMania international.

The Rock as the Ideal World Headliner
Should WrestleMania 43 hit Saudi Arabia, most people would consider The Rock to be the perfect superstar to head the event. The Rock is probably the biggest and most well-known global ambassador of WWE since he is one of the largest box office stars in Hollywood and a member of the TKO Board of Directors, as well as being an iconic professional wrestler himself. His comeback in 2024 as The Final Boss was a huge success, shattered records, and showed that he remains one of the biggest attractions in wrestling.
Will we see WrestleMania go international in 2027? All signs point to yes, but we’ll have to wait and see until WWE confirms this massive news.
